Geographical location is a key factor when upgrading engine performance. Height above sea level and temperature, amongst others, plays a significant role in how much power and torque can be increased.
Every engine is unique and therefore we custom-tune each engine on our AWD dyno, taking environmental factors into account and monitoring important parameters such as AFR. Maximum power is not our goal, safe and reliable power with the best possible fuel economy is what we aim for.
P229FE1 The NOx sensor 2 (Cylinder bank 1) has a malfunction
P2201E1 The NOx sensor 1 (Cylinder bank 1) has a malfunction
P204F96 The AdBlue(R) system (Cylinder Bank 1) has a malfunction. There is an internal component fault.
P13E400 The remaining driving distance is limited due to a malfunction in the AdBlue(R) system
P13AF00 The soot content of the diesel particle filter is too high
P11A800 The pressure differential in the diesel particulate filter is too high.
Symptoms:
Limp Mode / Safe Mode (Low Power)
Warning Lights:
Check Engine Light - On AdBlue Remaining Distance - On (Engine start not possible in xxx km)
Solution:
DPF Removed and Software Re-Engineered to exclude AdBlue & DPF function from the Engine Control Unit (ECU).
No more warning lights and original power restored.

ECU Remap vs Chip
ECU Remapping, also known as software upgrades, is widely regarded as the safer and more effective way to optimise engine performance—when done correctly. Unlike plug-and-play chips, remapping allows for...
Most companies in South Africa selling so-called performance chips, tuning boxes, plug-and-play chips, or performance modules do not tell you that these are simple electronic devices that intercept...
Let’s chat about plug-and-play systems—the ones that connect to the common rail pressure sensor. Usually, when you get in touch with these guys and start talking about dyno runs to prove gains, they’ll...
